Encountering God’s Healing Presence

Through Worship Dance

In the spring of 2011, I went on a mission trip to Mexico City with a team from Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. Our team ministered both in churches and on the streets of Mexico City. There were over 30 in our team, but most of the time we split up into smaller groups. One afternoon part of our team was out on a street in front of an elementary school in a neighborhood just outside of Mexico City. I started worship dancing with a Norwegian girl in the middle of the street while a local pastor played guitar and sang worship songs. A whole crowd of curious kids and parents gathered around us. One of the guys from our team started calling out words of knowledge about all kinds of sicknesses. He started out with a very simple word that someone had pain in their wrist that God wanted to heal. One lady raised her hand, and she was completely healed. After that it was like a street revival broke out. A whole bunch of kids and adults started asking for prayer for all types of conditions. I got to pray for a lady who had eczema, and her skin softened and stopped itching right there. Another lady had some sort of vein disease and all her pain disappeared. All the pain also left a little girl who had cancer. Pretty much everyone whom we prayed for also wanted to get saved. All this started with a simple worship dance in the middle of a street.

On the same trip in Mexico, we also got to minister in different churches and saw many healings there as well. I got to see a cyst on a lady’s hand shrink at least 70 percent in front of my eyes. Another lady who had cataracts started seeing clearly. One of my most precious memories from this trip is from a church service in a place called Tultepec. I had been asked to do a dance there, but we arrived so late that I didn’t have time to check if their CD player was working properly. When I started dancing, the CD started skipping like crazy, and after a moment it stopped altogether. For a moment it felt like an epic failure. I stood in front of a big crowd and had no idea what to do. Then I heard the Holy Spirit whispering in my ear that He was there and I didn’t even need a CD, so I continued dancing, this time declaring God’s promises and prophesying over the church as I was dancing.

All of a sudden, the presence of God just swept through the room. One of the locals jumped on stage and started playing the keyboard, and another guy started translating my declarations into Spanish. The first miracle for me was that I didn’t become out of breath, even though I was dancing quite wildly while I was making the declarations. The whole
